Oneeightofamile wins Martinstown Final
The opening Martinstown Opportunity Series Final Handicap Hurdle went to the John Kiely trained Oneeightofamile under a sound ride from David Splaine.
Afterwards Kiely stated “Oneeightofamile was always a nice horse and his win at Navan last September has worked out to be a decent contest. We were hoping he’d jump well and he did, apart from the final flight.”
Jockey Mattie Bowes, who finished eighth on He’s Our Man, was the winner of the 34 race series with a score of 63 points. Patrick Mangan, who registered 55 points, finished second two points ahead of third placed Adrian Heskin.
