One Up for Lyons
Apprentice jockey Danny Benson had his claim reduced to 7lbs following his win on One Up One Down in the Family Days At Leopardstown Handicap at Leopardstown today.
Visiting jockey Ryan Moore’s second ride of the day, on President Lincoln again ended in disappointment with the jockey enduring a frustrating ride having been unable to get a clear run at any stage up the straight.
Following One Up One Down’s win, his trainer Ger Lyons stated “we thought he’d run well and I decided to claim 10lbs off him to give him every chance. He had been working well and had run well in a hot maiden at Dundalk least season.”
“Danny’s claim is now down to 7lbs but I’ll be giving him as many chances as possible this season.”
