On The Way Out scores again
The John Kiely trained On The Way Out displayed real battling qualities when winning the Michael McNamara Memorial Novice Hurdle at Gowran today.
Ridden by Tom Doyle, the son of Saddlers' Hall was ridden along from the third last flight, eventually responding well to eventually wear down both Hazeymm and Monty Blue for a length and a quarter success.
Afterwards Kiely reported "On The Way Out is a tough sort and while the trip (two miles) was too short for him, the testing ground compensated for it. We'll see how he comes out of this race and he may run over Christmas - two and a half miles is his best trip."
