- Oliver's six hour trip pays off
Oliver's six hour trip pays off
Few work as hard as Andy Oliver to send horses racing but the Co Tyrone trainer was rewarded for his long trip south to Cork today, winning with his Flowers Of Spring in the Jason Fallon Live After Racing July 8th Handicap.
The daughter of Celtic Swing led under two furlongs out before staying on well for a two and a half lengths win over Cnocandancer
Afterwards Oliver stated “it took nearly six hours to get here today but winners always help! I was in Gowran yesterday too and do try to get to see as many of my horses run as possible.”
“Flowers Of Spring improved last year but I was just a little worried that she might need the run today. I’ve no plans from here but she is versatile trip-wise.”
Winning jockey Chris Hayes was recording a double having earlier partnered Look Busy to win the 6.05 race.
