Oliver in double form
Andy Oliver recorded a double this afternoon when his charge Theother Haaf came home in front of the Derrinstown Stud Apprentice Handicap under the very capable Joseph O’Brien.
Winning trainer Oliver said afterwards: “We’re delighted with the win and Joseph gave the horse a super ride."
"He was in exactly the right position at all times and she’s so small your always afraid of big handicaps but he was great on her and produced her at the right time.”
“She stayed on very well and won easy enough in the end so hopefully there’s a bit more to come.”
Oliver’s earlier win came with In Some Respect taking the opening race on this afternoon’s card, the Dunboyne Maiden.
