Oh Houdini causes 25/1 Limerick upset
One-horse trainer Pauline Gore-Cogan registered her second career winner (her first was in April 2003) when Oh Houdini caused a 25/1 upset when taking the Crecora Beginners Chase (div 1) at Limerick today.
Oh Houdini was produced by man-of-the-moment rider Shay Barry to challenge from two out, and was aided by the fall of the other joint leader Golden Barrell at the final fence, to record a seven lengths win. The win was Barry's 14th winner of the new season.
Afterwards Ms Gore-Cogan reported "that is my first winner since Heaven Is Above won at Cork in 2003. Oh Houdini is my only horse and the key to him is good ground - we'll take it from here with him as I've no plans."
