The 8/13 favourite Snowfall took the opening Irish Stallion Farm EBF Fillies’ Maiden for Aidan O’Brien and Wayne Lordan.
After a promising third on debut at Navan, the daughter of Deep Impact had been sent off odds-on for her second outing when meeting trouble in running here over Derby weekend.
She had a gap close on her, clipped a heel and stumbled badly but had a relatively smooth run on this occasion.
A slightly slow start meant she had to work fairly hard to see off Sister Rosetta and promising newcomer Loch Lein by half a length and two and a quarter lengths, but she was strong in the final furlong as she edged ahead close to the line.
The winning rider Lordan commented: “She’s a very nice filly and gave me a lovely feel through the race.
"I got to the line very well and another furlong would be no problem. She’s a good filly going forward.”
