O'Leary team in fine form ahead of Thyestes
The history seeking Preists Leap team received a boost today as stablemate Jagoes Mills landed the Devil's Bit Beginners Chase at Thurles, under jockey Davy Russell.
Jagoes Mills tracked the leaders on the outer, moved through to lead before the second last fence, eventually running out the eight lengths winner over Karinga Queen
Preists Leap represents Jagoes Mills' trainer Thomas O'Leary and seeks his third consecutive win in the Thyestes Chase at Gowran on Thursday, for his Co Cork trainer.
Afterwards O'Leary stated “the freeze didn't affect Jagoes Mills at all and we kept him in full work on the beach at Inchydoney. We'll either go for a winners' of one or a novice race next. He has had leg trouble twice in the past but is perfect now.”
