O'Brien wins opener at Leopardstown
Beethoven from the Aidan O’Brien stable who came home in front of opening race on this evenings card at Leopardstown under Johnny Murtagh had to survive a Stewards Enquiry after he got a bit to close to the runner up Clashnacree from the Tommy Stack stable.
Winning trainer O’Brien said afterwards, “It’s nice that he won here today. He has been slow enough to learn but I’ll think he progress nicely.”
“He should have no problem in stepping up in trip and hopefully he’ll improve from this.”
