O'Brien wins Eyrefield stakes with Mikhail Glinka
The Aidan O’Brien trained Mikhail Glinka landed a gamble (5/2 - 5/4) when coming home in front of the Royal College of Surgeons & A.I.B Race Against Breast Cancer Eyrefield Stakes in good style.
The son of Gailileo cruised into contention approaching the straight under Seamie Heffernan.
The pair hit the front from over a furlong and half out and kept on gamely for a four length win over What A Charm
Winning jockey Seamie Heffernan stated: “He’s still very raw and hopefully he’ll grow out of it. I wouldn’t say he’s ungenuine.”
“We went a good gallop as I sat in rear for most and he won well in the end.”
