Ulster Blackwater gained a deserved success when opening her account in the mile fillies maiden at Naas.
Joseph O'Brien registered a quick double this afternoon when the Camelot filly recorded a three-part-of-a-length victory under Shane Crosse.
The 5/2 shot was produced to lead inside the final furlong and held the late challenge of Climate
Ulster Blackwater was making her fourth start and had finished runner-up on her most recent outing at Gowran in mid-June.
O'Brien said:- “She had been running well. I'm not sure she stays as far I thought she would and coming back in trip today suited her.
“She's 81 and the second is 80 so they probably ran to their marks. She'll probably step into a fillies handicap now or a three-year-old handicap.”
