Nursery success for Whisperview's Asean

Trainer Donnacha O'Brien's Asean (5/2f) improved on three recent placed efforts when getting off the mark at the fifth attempt in Cork's Follow Us On Instagram Nursery today, scoring under jockey Paddy Harnett.
The Ten Sovereigns-filly carried form-figures of '0332' into today's race and was produced to lead a furlong out, holding Carnegie Hall by a neck at the line.
O'Brien reported “she is a strong filly but isn't the biggest. She had some very good form and is a decent filly who will step up into Listed company now. It is nice to get a win into her and she needs quick ground and that's as slow as she wants it.”
Asean, translated to 'assail' in Irish, is the latest O'Brien-family-bred horse, through Whisperview Trading Ltd, to carry a somewhat obscure Irish name and follows Badb (meaning 'bad'), Anann ('pineapple'), Brostaigh (to hurry) and Osraigh (the Diocese of Ossory) in recent years.
