Non-runners & market movers at Ballinrobe
Masdar has been backed from his opening price 5/1 into 3/1 favourite in the opener at Ballinrobe this evening for Dermot Weld and Pat Smullen. Khayar who opened at 9/2 favourite is now 7/2, while Omas Glen has also gone in from 14/1 into 9/1, while The Quiet Hawk and Canulos are now non-runners. Hisaabaat is the strong 6/4 again for Weld & Smullen, having been backed from his morning price of 13/8, while Extra Steps for Paul Cashman is now out of the race.
Both Ajiaal and Peggy Steps are out of the 6.50, with El Toreros yet again for Weld & Smullen the current favourite at 3/1.
First reserve De Visci will not take his chance but the second and third reserves Painted Fingers and Just On Fire will both run. Billy Lee will take the ride on the former with Declan McDonogh on the latter. Peaks Of Fire is the current favourite at 3/1 for the 7.20 while Silver Canyon has come in for support going from 4/1 into 7/2. Outsider Galveston Bay for Thomond O'Mara has halved in price from 50/1 into 25/1.
Loch Long and Sicilian Secret are both out of the feature race at 7.50, which leaves just a four of five to line up, with Muirhead the current favourite with Paddy Powers at 6/4, while second favourite Psycho is just 7/4.
In the 8.20, Muzak has come in for support, going from his morning price of 10/1 into 15/2. Dream Champion 20's into 14's, A Hit Is A Hit 14's into 12's, and Regal Obligation 6/1 into 9/2, have all been niggled at as well. Abarta for Val O'Brien is the strong 5/4 favourite in the 8.50 with all thirteen runners set to go to post for the last.
