Nolan off the mark on Wellforth
Micheal Nolan (19) from Borris, Co. Carlow rode his first winner when Wellforth justified favouritism in the October 11th Munster National (Q.R.) Handicap Hurdle.
This 9/2 shot, a winner over the course in May, battled well to hold off Wellforth by half a length. Winning trainer Caroline Hutchinson was on duty at Leopardstown.
Nolan, who has ridden a point-to-point winner, is attached to the 'Dusty' Sheehy yard.
