Noble Yeats impressively reveals "true colours"

Willie Mullins had been dominant earlier and his son Patrick and nephew Emmet struck in the penultimate event, division one of the Thurles (Pro/Am) INH Flat Race, with the impressive Noble Yeats (5/4 favourite).
Second in a point-to-point for Donie Hassett in December 2019, the victor began for current connections with a Limerick bumper third placing at Christmas.
Owner Paul Byrne now has an exciting type on his hands, judging by the way his six-year-old stormed clear inside the final quarter mile. Soldier Of Destiny (10/1 into 9/2) vainly gave chase. Nineteen lengths was the margin at the line, and there was a gap of nine lengths to second favourite Gringo D’aubrelle in third.
"We were very disappointed at Limerick but I would say on the day it was a good bumper. He had been showing us plenty at home but I was doubting myself coming here and he was good and impressive and I couldn't ask for any more,” revealed Emmet Mullins.
"To keep Patrick happy, his next race will have to be a bumper but owner-wise I don't know; he (Paul Byrne) could find anything for us.
"It was just good to get that win today and he showed his true colours; he's an exciting horse for the future and when we go jumping we could be looking forward to better things."
