No stopping the Smiths golden run
Don't Bet On It wins under Kevin Smith

The title of the bumper, the Lengthen The Odds With BetVictor INH Flat Race seemed appropriate at Kilbeggan as 33/1 winner Don’t Bet On It led home fellow outsiders Toms Courage (50/1) and Byrnersround (66/1).
A week on from One Cool Poet’s heroics for the stable with his third Galway 2019 win, County Meath trainer Matthew Smith struck here with Don’t Bet On It on her first start since December.
The Smiths horses are in blinding form and Master Matt was on the mark for them at the Curragh yesterday.
A first-time tongue strap may have helped Don’t Bet On It (clipped into 33s from 40s on track and bigger earlier) as she prevailed by a length and three quarters and two lengths.
The trainer’s father Kevin owns the daughter of Court Cave, and Kevin junior did the steering.
The latter reported: "It was her first time with a tongue-tie and I think she was sick at the time of her first runs. She had time off and has come back twice the horse.
"She is a lovely filly and relished that ground."
