No more three mile races for Sizing Europe

Henry De Bromhead saddled Sizing Rio to win a Grade 3 novice chase in Cork today. Afterwards he commented on Sizing Europe who was second in the Grade 1 champion chase at Down Royal yesterday.
“The rain came at the wrong time and he jumped slowly and was generally disappointing. He looked like he couldn’t go with them which is ridiculous for a two-mile chaser,” de Bromhead said of the 11-year-old former champion chaser.
“We’ll stick to two/two and a half now, that’s what we’ve agreed. He ate up last night and if we are lucky enough to still have him running well next March I imagine the Ryanair would be the race for him.
“He’ll probably go to Leopardstown at Christmas for the Paddy Power Dial-A-Bet he won last year.”
