After a win for the gambled-on 9/4 favourite, Selskar Abbey in the penultimate, several must have left Leopardstown contented enough after Awesome Star won the finale, the Follow Leopardstown On Facebook (QR) Maiden at equivalent odds-on.
Nina Carberry briefly threatened danger on the strong-moving Henry's Girl inside the final quarter mile.
However her sister-in-law Katie Walsh had a decent staying type underneath her in Awesome Star and he kept going much too powerfully for Henry's Girl, coming out on top by two and a half lengths.
"He was entitled to win and it's nice to get his head in front," said Jimmy 'Slim' O'Neill, representing successful trainer John Oxx.
"He's very lazy and we wanted to get a win into him. He'll go back to the same sort of races now.
"He'll probably stay in training and is a horse that will improve. That'll do him the power of good and Katie was happy with him."
