Once Pat Smullen began to wind it up from the front early in the straight on great Dundalk campaigner, Togoville the strong suspicion was that there'd be no way past for his rivals in race three.
In this Dundalk - Light Up Your Night Handicap, Smullen was aboard the versatile now six time course winner for the second occasion in a race.
Togoville had to yield for market supremacy to Jamesie and that one came there with his bid from over a furlong out.
However Togoville kept on well to assert in the final hundred yards for a two length win.
"It's up to the boss (owner Patrick McCann) now whether we go on January 2nd (five furlong conditions race at Chelmsford City) for the all-weather championship race over five furlongs," said winning trainer Georgios Pakidis.
"We'll see how he is in the next couple of days before making a decision."
