Jack Davison opened his account for the turf season as No Stopping Her lived up to her name on debut in the Foran Equine Irish EBF Auction Maiden at Roscommon.
The Dunboyne trainer has made an impression in his first couple of seasons with a licence thanks to the likes of Fresnel and Black Magic Woman, although this daughter of Toronado was allowed to go off a 28/1 chance.
Ronan Whelan ’s mount was up with the pace throughout, leading under two furlongs out and keeping on strongly to beat 25/1 shot Abogados by a comfortable two lengths producing an Exacta payout of over a thousand euro.
Helvic Princess kept on a further length and a half back in third.
Davison said, “She’s been professional since the start and hasn’t missed a beat. She works like a decent filly and I was expecting a good run.
“To do that and be so professional has put a smile on my face.
“We have another seven two-year-olds and that will give us a good read on them.
“The Forans Final is a massive incentive so we might just work back from there. We’ll see how she comes out of it and look at the race programme but on the evidence of that she’s a nice filly.”
