Colin Keane moved on to the 85 winner mark for the campaign as he continues a relentless drive to be champion jockey again, his latest success coming aboard Day Dreamin’ in the first spilt of the 45 to 65 Leopardstown Handicap.

Shane Foley now trails Keane by five after the Meath man teamed up with Tony Martin’s victor to make all.

With Blinkers on and back in trip the easy to back 6/1 shot (from 4s), Day Dreamin’ held off Angel’s Trumpet by a length.

“We put the blinkers on and rode her handy. Maybe that’s what we should have been doing all the time,” said Martin.

“She deserved to win one. She’s in again next week (at Gowran on Wednesday) and we’ll see how she comes out of this.”

C.T. Keane, rider of Day Dreamin' trained by A.J.Martin, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount leaned left up the straight.

S. Foley, rider of Sansevero Chapel trained by Thomas Mullins, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount got a little tight for room down the rail.

The Stewards interviewed C.T. Keane, rider of Day Dreamin', concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, including the riders report to the Clerk of the Scales, the Stewards were satisfied that three of the riders strikes, including the one down the shoulder in the forearm position, were for corrective purposes and as such the rider was not in breach of any part of regulation 10.
