Nivvo could have earned herself a trip to Lingfield for the all-weather championships after taking the qualifier in the Fillies Race at Dundalk this evening.
Tracey Collins' charge followed up on her maiden win at the course last month when taking the seven-furlong contest.
Pat Smullen produced Nivvo to lead two furlongs from home but she was tackled by Flawlessly over a furlong from home.
That rival got to the front inside the final furlong but Nivvo battled back gamely in the closing stages to get her head in front close home for a head success.
“Her stamina came in to it late on. She's now qualified for the all-weather championships and it's not too often you get one for that so I'd say she'll probably go there,” said Collins.
“I'll speak to her owners but it's a rare opportunity to run for that money. I've already got one going over as well (Captain Joy).
“She's been terribly consistently and sometimes those those fillies, once they get a bit of confidence, can keep going forward.
“Seven is not her ideal trip but conditions were there so we decided to send her up.”
