Trainer Gordon Elliott, out of luck with his four earlier runners including short priced favourite Atlanta Falcon did leave Downpatrick with a winner today when his Court Lexi easily won the Magnificent Seven Bumper, under Nina Carberry.

Court Lexi had the measure of the chasing Savello when that rival jinked left and unseated her rider before the straight. Court Lexi, a daughter of Court Cave, then ran out an easy winner over Pond Cottage

Afterwards Elliott stated “Court Lexi had a few good runs and hit the crossbar a few times. She might be left off now and then come back and go hurdling.”
