Division one of the Dundalk Stadium Gift Vouchers Available Online Handicap saw Neyland make the breakthrough on career outing number twenty two.
A Juddmonte Farms-bred daughter of Oasis Dream, Neyland, now a five-year-old, has taken her time about delivering, having begun in the Abdullah silks for Ralph Beckett at Sandown in April 2018.
Now with Pat Martin, her fourth trainer, Neyland was here partnered by Danny Sheehy and she dwelt at the stalls.
Racing in the rear of mid-division the 17/2 scorer was ridden two furlongs out.
Making headway into second a furlong out she led inside the final furlong, staying on well close home to beat Irish Ambassador and Overtake by half a length and the same.
“She's run a lot of good races and we always thought this place would suit her,” said Martin.
“Her wind is not ideal and she wears a tongue-tie which helps her a bit.
“A lot of times she's run this year the ground has been just slower than ideal, good ground that changed on the day.
“If you can get her to relax it gives her a chance to breathe better and that trip is ideal for her.
“I'm delighted she's won as she has a nice page.”
C.D. Hayes, rider of Irish Ambassador trained by Sarah Lynam, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount rolled around in the straight.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Camogue Wood trained by Patrick J.Flynn, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
