Nanabad scores in style

Nanabad proved too strong for her rivals in the closing stages as she confirmed the promise of her debut run at Gowran Park last month on her return to the course.
Jarlath Fahey ’s charge had stayed on to finish seventh on her first start over course and distance exactly one month ago and stepped forward nicely.
Gary Halpin tracked the leaders on the Big Bad Bob filly before taking closer order in the straight, electing to stay towards the far side as the field came towards the stands.
She hit the front over a furlong from home and kept on strongly in the final furlong to record a four-and-three-quarter length win at odds of 10/1 (14/1 in morning). Shinghari chased her home with 5/2 favourite Mighty Legend back in third.
"She won despite being very green. She got into all sorts of trouble here the last day but kept on well at the finish. I was hopeful there was plenty of improvement in her,” said Fahey.
"I'm surprised how well she won considering how much she wandered around."
