My Fantasea enjoyed a step up in trip when delivering in the extended mile and two maiden at Dundalk.
John Oxx 's Sea The Stars gelding had finished fourth and third in mile maidens at this track in his two previous appearances.
The 7/4 joint favourite broke well under Declan McDonogh and raced third on the rail behind First Class Ticket and Easy In Love
My Fantasea made ground outside the final furlong to hit the front from First Class Ticket. Zamira on debut, followed him through under Pat Smullen and soon strongly challenged the leader.
Try as he might though, Zamira (6/1) couldn't quite get on terms with My Fantasea and went down by a head.
Another newcomer, Triplicate put in a promising performance when chasing the front pair home in third. The 7/4 joint favourite was a length and a half away.
"He enjoyed the surface and also enjoyed the step up in trip. He'll go the handicap route now,” Oxx's assistant Jimmy 'Slim' O'Neill said.
Jockey McDonogh brought up his Dundalk double on My Fantasea having scored on Specific Gravity in the opener.
