It was a good afternoon for champion jockey Pat Smullen after he landed the E.P.S Pumps Handicap aboard the Joanna Morgan trained Mutaderek making it a treble on the day for the jockey.

Smullen produced the son of Machiavellian to lead under a furlong out and sprinted clear for a two length win over On The Way Out

Winning trainer Morgan said afterwards: “He’s a lovely little horse a real star, he’s just so consistent but can be a tricky ride but Pat has the secret to him.”

“He’ll mix it between flat and hurdles and he may run again at Gowran Park next weekend."
