Murtagh receives one day suspension

Jockey Johnny Murtagh received a one day suspension following his ride on Yankee Doodle in the At The Race Curragh Cup at The Curragh today.

Murtagh was deemed to have ridden carelessly following an incident a furlong out in the race.

The ban rules him out of race-riding at The Curragh on July 11, where the Group 3 Minstrel Stakes is the feature event.
