Trainer-jockey Johnny Murtagh is keen to learn more about Altruistic s potential aspirations by running him in the Juddmonte Beresford Stakes at the Curragh.
The Andrew Tinkler-owned juvenile created a good impression on his debut at Naas in early August and has been saved specifically with this Group Two in mind since.
The Galileo colt does hold an entry in the Racing Post Trophy at Doncaster on October 26th, but Murtagh wants to get this weekend's assignment out of the way before thinking about future targets.
Murtagh said: "I'm looking forward to seeing how he gets on. He's bred to be a three-year-old and he's in the Racing Post Trophy, so I'm sure we'll know where we are on Sunday."
The one-mile contest has an illustrious role of honour, with the likes of Alamshar, Azamour, Sea The Stars and St Nicholas Abbey all previous winners.
St Nicholas Abbey's trainer Aidan O'Brien has saddled a remarkable 12 previous winners, including the last two, and this year's representatives are Leopardstown maiden winner Geoffrey Chaucer and Anglesey Stakes runner-up Oklahoma City
The highest rated horse in the line-up is the Ger Lyons-trained Exogenesis.
The six-runner field is completed by Andrew Oliver's All Set To Go and Not To Yield from Dermot Weld's yard.
