Murtagh galvanises Dance At Dawn
Johnny Murtagh got Aidan O'Brien's Dance At Dawn up by a neck in Dundalk's concluding one mile two furlong handicap as the son of Montjeu edged out 7/1 chance Dart Queen in the finish.
The colt was in first-time blinkers and overcame an unfavourable wide draw to step up on his efforts in maiden company.
Dance At Dawn was returned at 4/1. Lightening Stricks from the Richard Brabazon stable was backed into favouritism from 9/2 to 7/2 but finished sixth. Leaves You Baby came home third for Michael Halford.
The winner was Johnny Murtagh's 84th of the season. He is seven behind Pat Smullen in the race for the Irish jockeys title.
