Mullins wins opener at Thurles
The opening race this afternoon, The Holy Cross 3-Y-O Maiden Hurdle was won by the Tom Mullins trained King Of Queens ridden by Robert 'Puppy' Power and owned by Eugene McDermott.
Winning trainer Mullins said afterwards, "He's still learning, Robert [Power] said he hated the ground. He jumped well and is improving all of the time. He's well bred and appears to have taken to hurdling. We'll probably go to Leopardstown for the Denny's Juvenile Hurdle at Christmas."
Ladbrokes have quoted King Of Queens at 33/1 for The Triumph Hurdle at Cheltenham.
