Mullins has the right approach

Sun 1st Jan 2012, 14:39

The feature event of Tramore’s year, the Listed Holden Plant Rentals Chase today went to Apt Approach under David Casey, providing trainer Willie Mullins with the second leg of a double.

Apt Approach raced prominently, led from three out before shaking off the challenge of Tranquil Sea for a comfortable win.

Afterwards Casey said “that makes up for the Punchestown Festival (leading when the pair fell at the final fence in a Grade A Chase)!”

Mullins’ representative Gary Davis added “David went out to win it from the word go and gave him a good positive ride. He jumped well, got through the very bad ground, found plenty and did it very well.”
