The Willie Mullins trained Bordini maintained his unbeaten bumpers record with a win in the concluding Listed 'Future Champions' Bumper at Navan today, winning under the trainer's son Patrick Mullins.
The 4/7 favourite needed some encouragement from Mullins junior to shake off the challenge of Attribution but the winner stuck to his task admirably well to record a six and a half lengths win.
Following the race, trainer Willie Mullins stated “he's a horse I liked before his first run, and he's done nothing to disappoint me; he looks a real good horse.
"All going well he'll go to Cheltenham in March and he'll probably have one more run before then."
Reflecting on Shaneshill s runner-up effort in the earlier Grade 2 novice hurdle, the Champion Trainer stated “Gordon's horse (No More Heroes) is improving and we got beaten. I'd be hoping for better in the future.”
