The Willie Mullins trained, Gigginstown House Stud owned Bel Sas belied a market drift (5/4 this morning, to 5/2 S.P.) when winning the concluding Posh Nosh Bumper at Downpatrick today, winning under the trainer's son Patrick Mullins.
The French bred son of Balko quickened clear of his rivals inside the final quarter mile and in the end had 11 lengths to spare over the running-on Jimmy Breekie
Patrick Mullins later commented “he's probably not a big winter horse and probably heavy ground in Navan found him out.
"He's at his best on better ground and a tighter track and he's a summer horse in my opinion."
