Mullinavat romped to a second consecutive Tramore win today when blitzing his rivals in the Waterford & Tramore Supporters Club Handicap Hurdle for a combined winning-distance total of 44 lengths for his two most recent wins.
The Henry De Bromhead trained runner won by 21 lengths over fences at the Co Waterford venue in August and today, reverting to hurdles, made all for a 23 lengths success. Regular rider Sean Flanagan was happy to let the son of Beneficial move clear of the field with fully a circuit to race and in the end the pair sauntered home to beat Tintown Robin
Mullinavat was winning for the third time for De Bromhead and afterwards the locally based trainer said “he got a super ride from Sean, he just went out and rode him like he was the best horse in the race, and that was it.
“He has been busy this season and he is getting near the end of his campaign now. He’s in at Fairyhouse on Saturday but I'd imagine that's unlikely - I think we will enjoy today and see after that."
