After a trying enough couple of days at the Curragh, Jessica Harrington and Shane Foley finished with a flourish, doubling up in the final couple of races. Foley kept it simple from the front on 14/1 chance Provocateuse in the Finlay Volvo Handicap.
Following on from stable companion Hell Bent half-an-hour earlier, three-year-old handicap first-timer Provocateuse supplemented a Bellewstown maiden win from 16 days back.
The Niarchos family owned and bred Pride Of Dubai filly was always looking good in the lead, and she kept on strongly in the final furlong to comfortably see off Arnhem by two and three parts of a length.
“She won her maiden in Bellewstown and struggled a little there. She was more impressive today,” said Mrs Harrington.
“I think she learned a lot in Bellewstown. She learned how to sprint and I’m delighted with her today.”
