Mr a Cracker at Limerick
Mr Cracker is giving Michael Hourigan plenty of enjoyment at his local track and the chestnut son of Anshan won his third race over the course and distance when taking the Grade 2 Greenmount Park Novice Steeplechase under Adrian Heskin.
Mr Cracker had the measure of The Hurl when that favourite fell heavily at the second last and the winner was left to come home a distance in front of C'est Ca There was another distance back to Kakagh who never raised a gallop.
Hourigan said of Mr Cracker: "He's a nice horse and he'll improve a lot on better ground and going left-handed. He's a superb jumper and he might go for a novice chase at Cheltennham in January. He is entered in the Moriarty at Leopardstown but I'm not sure about that. His main target could be the Powers Gold Cup at Fairyhouse. He's one to look forward to.
"I rang Michael (O'Leary, the owner) and said to him you'll have to buy this horse as he was about to win a point-to-point by a fence (at Lemonfield) and then he came down at the last! He went on to win at Cloyne after that."
