Mount Frisco (5/2f) was a third winner to make all this afternoon, as he justified favouritism in the Limerick Novice Handicap Hurdle.
Successful over fences at Tramore on New Year's Day, the John Ryan-trained five-year-old since finished third to Falco Blitz at Thurles.
Returning to flights this afternoon, the Kalanisi bay jumped well in the main under Philip Donovan. Pressed before the second last, he went on again before the final flight and came home three-lengths to the good.
The Gavin Cromwell-trained In The Trenches (15/2) filled the runner-up spot under Conor Stone Walsh, while Jay Pee M was another six-lengths back in third.
"He's a fair one, he's a decent horse. He loves the heavy ground. He'll win good chases and is probably in Lucid Dreams’ class," Ryan commented.
On his Dublin Racing Festival hope Lucid Dreams, Ryan added: "We haven't decided which race he will run in yet but he's in great form."
STEWARDS REPORT
Sam Ewing, rider of Jay Pee M, trained by Daniel William O'Sullivan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left throughout.
