Irish Soul ridden by Pat Mangan, landed the Follow Us On Facebook Handicap Hurdle (div 2) at Fairyhouse today on his second start for trainer James Motherway.

Afterwards Motherway said “Irish Soul had a nice run at Navan the last day over 2m7f but we decided to drop him back in trip today as he has plenty of ‘boot’. Andrew McNamara gave him a lovely ride the last day but we decided to put Pat up to claim the 5lbs today.

“Hopefully he can pick up another one of those but he’ll be going chasing shortly as he jumps a fence well. He is owned by P J Mulcahy from Castletownroche, Co Cork - I rode plenty of point to point winners for him and he is a good owner with me now.”
