Mossey shoots them down in fine style at Cork
Mossey Joe confirmed his star quality under Barry Geraghty in the Dromahane Steeplechase when leading two out on his way to a comprehensive three and a half length dismissal of The Last Derby
Winning rider Barry Geraghty was suitably impressed saying: "He's a fair horse. He beat good horses today giving them lumps of weight. He needs to go right-handed as it helps him to settle."
Successful trainer Declan McNamara commented: "I'll have to talk to the owner now but the original plan was that he'd get a break after today. He has a preference for good ground and he needs experience so we'll just have to see as these races don't seem to be taking much out of him.
"I'm delighted for his owners, the Cliffords who also bred him. They are from Ballina in County Tipperary."
