The Sandra Hughes trained Morney Wing justified 7/4 favouritism to win the Greenmount Park Beginners Chase at Limerick today, winning for owner Barry Connell and his retained rider Adrian Heskin.
The son of Antonius Pius improved to lead before the second last fence and from there shook off the challenge of Stonehall Jack beating that rival by five lengths.
Hughes wasn't present but Heskin, who partnered his second Cheltenham Festival winner last month on Connell's Martello Tower, later stated "he has plenty ability and the bit of nicer ground helped. He jumped well and it will do plenty for his confidence."
