The opening race this afternoon at Naas, the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden saw Dolores Jones’ colours carried to victory for the first time when 12/1 shot Gypsie Queen came home in front in the hands of Gary Carroll.

Winning trainer Joanna Morgan said afterwards, “She is a lovely filly I was little bit worried about the ground. She will definitely be better on better ground. Ideally she wants a mile on fast ground.”

“It’s Dolores first winner in her own colours and she also bred the filly.”
