Good World gave jockey Hugh Morgan a quick-fire double when landing race two in Wexford.

A whole host of horses were in with a chance approaching the home bend in this extended two and a half mile handicap hurdle.

Good World (6/1) moved into the lead full of running racing to the two furlong point but was strongly pressed by Glen Robin as they jumped the second last.

The pair fought out the spoils on the run-in and it was Good World who found that bit extra in the closing stages to score by half a length. Runner-up Glen Robin didn't do a lot wrong and was returned at 10/1. He was three and a half lengths clear of Cloak Of Darkness (40/1).

Trainer Eoin Griffin said: "We were very apprehensive about the ground. It was his first time running on it. I just didn't know how he'd go on it but Hugh said he travelled away on it fine.

"He is not an overly big horse and I suppose we had to try him on it sometime. I had pulled him out of Galway there last week because of the ground. We are not too far from here and while there was a lot of rain forecast for yesterday it didn't arrive.

"In fairness, they have done a good job with the track and there is plenty of grass on it. We were happy enough that it was safe so we said we would take our chance.

"He did it nicely with the step up in trip and he has course form. We gave him a little bit of a break after he finished second at Punchestown to Call Me Dolly where he was beaten by just a short-head.

"We are glad to come back on a winning note today. We will tip away with him now and see what the handicapper gives him.

"HIs owners are here today. Alfred (Ma) owns the Good World restaurant in Dublin and it's great that they can be here today."
