More joy for the Holden horses

Ellmarie Holden's training career could hardly have gotten off to a better start and she bagged another winner when Sir Jack Yeats won the opening EY Beginners Chase at Tramore under David Mullins.
A chasing debutant but point-to-point placed, the successful Yeats five-year-old was backed in from early quotes of around 20/1 for this two and three quarter miler, to a returned 7/1 (from 9s on track).
Jumping is the name of the game and Sir Jack Yeats, owned by the trainer's father, Paul, did that better than the rest as he saw off Bye Bye O Bye (5/2 favourite and mistake last) by one and a half lengths.
"We will keep him over fences now for a while. I knew he had it in him today, he was in flying form at home, he was working brilliant and was in great condition," said Miss Holden who saddled My Direction to a big win at Gowran on Wednesday evening.
"I'll leave him alone now for a week or two and then look for something for him. He'll probably go for a handicap, but I've no plan for him."
J.M. Moore, rider of Just Likeold Times trained by Paul Nolan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount finished lame.
P.T. Enright, rider of Valentino's Choice trained by Vincent Laurence Halley, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount stoped quickly and was pulled up.
D.N. Russell, rider of Bye Bye O Bye trained by Michael C.Griffin, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount made a respiratory noise in running.
