Moore & Russell take opener at Punchestown
The Arthur Moore trained Sorceror justified favouritism when landing The Kilpedder Syndicate Maiden Hurdle at Punchestown this afternoon under Davy Russell.
Winning trainer Moore said afterwards, "He is still a bit green but is a very nice horse. He probably didn't jump as well as he did at Leopardstown but it is very open out here in front. We will probably give him 6 weeks and wait for the good ground and go for a winners of one with him. I won't put a gun to his head but I think he'll make a lovely chaser next year."
