Luke Dempsey has been getting noticed in recent months and the apprentice jockey, who is now also riding over jumps, partnered his sixth flat winner of the year on the Gordon Elliott trained Moonmeister in the concluding Dundalk Stadium - Light Up Your Night Rated Race at Dundalk this evening.
Dempsey kept the gelding going for a half length win over Sharjah for a fourth career win for the three year old son of Mastercraftsman.
Afterwards Elliott stated “he won well again and Luke gave him a great ride.
“He's in again on Wednesday and we'll see how he is. He'll finish up before Christmas as he's going to go hurdling.”
