"She's done what she had to do for this year and she'll go home now," said Sheena Collins after her sister Tracey's Meetyouatthemoon landed the spoils in the Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Maiden (Plus 10 Race) at Dundalk.
Favourite, Sharp Defence looked held in the final two furlongs here, but he threated to pull it out of the fire from over a furlong out.
However, the Ronan Whelan ridden Meetyouatthemoon, an Excelebration filly on outing number four, wouldn't yield, and she held the upper hand at the line by a neck.
"The drop back to six suited her and she got a beautiful ride," added Miss Collins.
"She had the experience to get in from her draw, and sit in behind them. They were finishing fast but she battled well to the line.
"She's after getting stronger in the last few weeks and we'll see how she pans out during the winter now.
"It's nice to get a winner for Luca (Somaini) who is a good owner."
