Monty brings up double for Mullins and Walsh
Ruby Walsh and Willie Mullins completed a quick double at Punchestown when Our Monty followed up his recent Limerick success with another easy win.
Sent to the front before the last the 4/7 favourite went on to record a cosy four-and-a-half length success over Dafarabad
A fairytale return for Matt O'Connor looked briefly on the cards as Aladdins Cave hit the front turning in, only to be headed before the final flight and weakening to third.
"It was nerve wracking as I hate coming back so soon with a horse but having 13lb in hand we hade to," said Mullins.
"He's probably one of the sharpest jumpers of a hurdle I've had. I had thought about going back over fences but might reconsider that."
