Monday horse Wrote doubles up for O'Brien
Aidan O'Brien doubled his tally for the evening in the valuable Irish Stallion Farms EBF Premier Nursery Handicap, as his Wrote under his son Joseph justified favouritism in convincing style.
A fortnight ago today, the son of High Chaparral made his racecourse debut at Roscommon finishing third behind Indigo River. He was out again the following Monday at Cork where just got up to win his maiden by a short head from Alkazim.
On his third career start today and his third time in a row to run on a Monday, the winner hit the front a furlong out and stayed on well up the straight to score by two lengths from the Adrian McGuinness trained Beau Amadeus at 12/1 back in second. Crimson Sunrise who drifted from her morning price of 9/2 out to 15/2 at the off completed the placings a length back in third for Dermot Weld and Leigh Roche.
Having opened at 9/4 this morning the winner was well supported and went off the 6/4 favourite.
