Mon Coeur made up for his disappointing run at the track in May when making all to easily win the concluding Kelly Brothers Farm Modernisation(Ladies Pro/Am) Flat Race at Killarney.

Sent off favourite here last time on the back of a promising debut, the six-year-old let his supporters down when managing only third.

Those that stuck with the Fame And Glory gelding will have been delighted they did so, as he made every inch under Aine O'Connor. From the home turn, the race only concerned himself and runner-up Brookie who travelled well under Maxine O'Sullivan.

However, it soon became evident that the leader wasn't for passing, as try as she might, O'Sullivan could never get to the winner.

Joseph Murphy said; "I was worried all day as I was afraid of the ground - I thought he wanted a bit more ease and I'm walking this track all day and it is good to firm in places.

"We always liked him, he has a great pedigree and hasn't done anything wrong. We may enter him for a bumper in Galway and I'd say he'll also run on the flat."
